Lara Richert

Hi, I’m Lara and I’ve been studying ‘Molecular and Applied Biotechnology’ (Master’s) at RWTH since the 2023/24 winter semester. I’ve been with btS since the end of 2023 and I’m looking forward to the many opportunities to learn new things and get involved in planning the various projects. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with friends, going for walks with my camera or reading a good book :).

Hi, I’m Leonie and I’ve been involved with btS since April 2025. I’m doing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at RWTH Aachen University. What I particularly love about btS is that you can contribute your own ideas, always receive support, and really make a difference together. In my spare time, I enjoy going for a jog, reading a good book, or simply spending time with friends.

Tobias Rosch

Hi, my name is Tobias. I studied biotechnology in Aachen and am now doing my PhD in automation at Forschungszentrum Jülich. I’ve been a member of btS for six years and have had the chance to contribute to a wide variety of projects, such as the ScieGuide. I wouldn’t swap my year as a local board member and the soft skills I gained from it - for anything.

Hey! I’m Paul and I’m doing a Master’s degree in Molecular and Applied Biotechnology at RWTH. I’ve been with btS since July 2024. What I particularly like here is the huge network of friendly people and the many opportunities for further training. In my spare time, I do lots of things with friends and enjoy trying out all sorts of sports.

Hi, I’m Leonie and I’m studying for a Master’s degree in ‘Molecular and Applied Biotechnology’ at RWTH Aachen University. I’ve been involved with btS since August 2025, as I’m particularly excited by the opportunity to develop my professional skills and get involved in practical work alongside my studies. I especially enjoy the varied projects and the interaction with the open-minded, motivated teams. In my spare time, I like going to the gym, playing the piano, archery and dancing.

Hi, I’m Shannon. I’ve been studying for a Master’s degree in Molecular and Applied Biotechnology at RWTH Aachen University since 2023. I’ve been a member of btS since March 2025. What I particularly like about btS is the chance to make new contacts and expand my network. It also offers a great opportunity to develop my organisational skills and communication abilities. In my spare time, I hang out with friends, enjoy going for a swim or playing the flute.

What I especially enjoy about bts is meeting new people and developing my soft skills by participating in projects. In my free time, I like going to the gym, singing in a choir, and doing Zumba.

My name is Veronica, I’m 25 years old and I’m currently in my third semester of a Master’s degree in Biology, specialising in Medical Life Sciences and Neurobiology. I’ve been involved with btS since December 2021 and, as well as leading projects, I also served as chair of the board for a while. I really enjoyed that role!

Hello, I’m Martin. I’m studying for a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, specialising in Process Engineering, and have been an active member of btS since April 2022. In my spare time, I enjoy running, swimming and cycling. I’m mainly involved with btS to meet ambitious students from various disciplines across Germany and to organise exciting projects that add value for my fellow students.
