Regensburg offers life sciences students more than just a beautiful old town and what is arguably the highest concentration of bars: At btS, you can get involved, network, and actively help shape the local community.
What We Do
We organize free company tours, workshops, and lecture evenings—open to anyone interested. You’ll gain insights into career paths, meet experts, and establish early connections with employers.
Whether it’s insights from alumni, training on the application process, or contacts with potential employers: with us, you can build a strong network early on and gain a better understanding of your own career paths.
As a btS member, you also have the opportunity to participate in nationwide projects, such as our company contact fair, ScieCon, or get involved in our working groups, thereby gaining experience in many areas outside of university.

They’ll provide a brief insight into how they found their way into the industry, the stages they’ve gone through so far, and what their day-to-day work entails.

How do I actually make a good impression in a job interview? What really matters when negotiating salary with supervisors?
If you’ve already had these or similar thoughts about the job application process, our next workshop on Saturday, November 14, is just right for you! Together with A.S.I. Business Consulting, you can gain insight into the job application process and get answers to all your questions about job interviews and salary negotiations in the workshop “Secrets to a Successful Job Application,” led by our expert speaker Frank Trenkle.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to best prepare for a job interview, what do’s and don’ts you should be aware of, and how to come across as confident and persuasive during salary negotiations. Of course, there will also be time for your individual questions, so feel free to share your own experiences and concerns!
The workshop will be held in German on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. in room DE._.1.127 in the new Bio building. You’re warmly invited to stick around afterward for some casual conversation over free pizza!

Over pizza (free for you, of course!), you can connect with higher-year students in your program in a relaxed atmosphere, pick up valuable insider tips, and at the same time make connections with students from other majors.
