btS Life Sciences Student Initiative Association in Bochum – Your association for growth through networking and career guidance!

During your studies, do you find yourself wondering how you can supplement your studies in a meaningful way and gain valuable experience? Then btS - Life Sciences Studierendeninitiative e.V. in Bochum is the right place for you!

Of course, you will acquire a great deal of knowledge in the field of life sciences during your studies. However, there is often a lack of direct practical relevance and opportunities for personal and professional development. Wouldn't it be great to not only gain theoretical knowledge during your studies, but also to test important skills in real projects and thus develop them for your professional future? Because nowadays, it's not just good grades and book knowledge that count; your extracurricular activities also play a decisive role, and AI in particular seems to be displacing some professions. Thinking outside the box and acquiring additional skills makes you unique for the association and on the job market.

As an interdisciplinary team of motivated students and doctoral candidates, we organise numerous projects and programmes: from seminars and workshops to excursions and career fairs. 

btS offers you a variety of benefits that will enrich your academic career:

• Building a strong network: You will establish contacts – both with companies and with other students and doctoral candidates throughout Germany! This network can give you a decisive advantage when looking for a job later on.

How do I become a member? Send an E-mail to mitgliederverwaltung@bts-ev.de and attend one of our next meetings. Our team is diverse, constantly growing and evolving. We are currently busy realising exciting new projects and developing innovative ideas – the perfect opportunity for you to become part of our GS, try your hand at something new and contribute your own creative ideas.
