Are you studying life sciences and will soon have your Master's degree in your pocket? Are you wondering whether a PhD is right for you or how to find the right position? Then register now for the “PhD - Which path for your doctorate?” information evening.

Even though many Master's graduates, especially in the natural sciences, strive for a PhD, you have to decide whether a doctorate is the right path for you. And even if the goal is clear, there are various options on the path to a doctorate, e.g. university vs. industry, independent doctorate vs. structured doctoral program or scholarship vs. in-house position.

Who better to answer these questions than doctoral candidates themselves? That's why we've invited doctoral candidates from universities in Germany and abroad and from industry to talk about their experiences.

This is your chance to finally get all the answers you need on the topic of doctoral theses and to plan your next career move!

Sustainable bioenergy systems - Talk and discussion with Prof. Herkendell (english)

This concept can also be expanded towards generating valuable compounds or transporting energy.

The talk is only the first part and we will have an open discussion session, where we will dive deeper into concepts but are also free to discuss social and political ideas to shape a liveable future together. Business studies for entry into the pharmaceutical and biotech industry (HOX Life Sciences Akademie)

12x starting on 26.09.2023

Many life sciences students rarely learn about the business management behind production during their studies. However, basic knowledge of business administration, especially management, is extremely useful for starting a career.

The HOX Life Sciences Academy's online seminar “Business Administration for Entry into the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry” will teach you this knowledge via MS Teams.

The course starts on Tuesday, 26.09.23 and takes place over 12 weeks from 7 pm to 9 pm. In order to make the course interactive, the number of participants is limited to 35.

In 12 units of 120 minutes each, get to know the most important aspects using the example of the value chain in drug development, in which, in addition to the individual steps, the professions behind the tasks are also presented.

A fee of €250 is charged for the entire course, but after pre-registration there will be a free introductory meeting to evaluate whether the course can really offer the individual added value. Only then does the registration become binding.  It is possible to divide the costs for the course into two partial invoices, so that €125 is paid at the start of the course and €125 after 6 units.

At the end of the course, a one-hour final interview for CV optimization and career advice is included. Once you have successfully completed the course, you will also receive a certificate, which will make you stand out on the job market; many companies look for previous knowledge of business administration when applying.
