btS Life Sciences Student Initiative e.V. in Bielefeld – Your association for networking and career orientation!

Our next meeting will take place on November 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM in room U2-139. We’d be delighted if you join us in person—or remotely via Zoom using this Link

Welcome!

to btS Bielefeld!

Milestone: August 2004 – A small group of dedicated students founded the Bielefeld Office (Geschäftsstelle, GS) of btS, laying the foundation for what has since grown into one of the largest local chapters in the association. Today, we are around 20 active members organizing events such as talks, workshops, career fairs, and industry excursions. Beyond building great friendships and having fun, participation offers valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience, strengthen soft skills, and expand your professional network.

Our projects are highly diverse:
We collaborate both within the university and with a wide range of companies to develop engaging talks, workshops, excursions, and more. Some of our regularly recurring projects include:

  • Street Science, in cooperation with Bielefeld Marketing
  • The lecture series “Feed Your Brain – Life Sciences Look Beyond the Horizon”
  • Presentations of the various research groups at Bielefeld University
  • Support for the ScieCon Career Fair
  • Uni meets Industrie: Talks and insights from diverse companies
