ScieMatch receives award "Hochschulperle"

The btS ScieMatch project was awarded the 2021 University Pearl of the Year by the Stifterverband. After being voted University Pearl of the Month in October 2021, ScieMatch prevailed in the public vote against the other University Pearls of the Month. The theme for 2021 was transitions in times of pandemic, which we can particularly relate to, as ScieMatch is a digital platform that offers barrier-free and contactless career guidance.

The Stifterverband jury wrote the following about its decision to award the University Pearl of the Month to ScieMatch: “The company matching platform ScieMatch from btS – Life Sciences Student Initiative is an exemplary demonstration of how practical challenges in everyday student life can be tackled with the help of digital technologies. [...] We were particularly impressed by the holistic approach the association takes to supporting students in the demanding career discovery phase.”

We are delighted that both the jury and the audience love our project and support our approach to digitizing and making the job search process more accessible. We would like to thank the Stifterverband and everyone who voted for us!

We will invest the prize money in expanding the project to further develop career guidance.
